Re: ISG GUESTBOOK
Hi Wim,
No not heard from him. I have joined the the Martens College Posse Facebook group and spotted a few names I recognised. I imagine it would be quite hard to spread the word of the forums when many of us graduated in the pre-email days!
Australia is good but am contemplating a move back to Holland. Been here 10 years now working for a advertising agency as their digital handyman/IT manager.
Will keep checking back to see if you anyone else I know has stumbled across the forums.
Regards,
Martijn

Answer?
Hi Martijn,
Just curious: did you ever get a reply from Brett? You might have noticed that Alumni corner hasn't attracted as much attention as we had hoped it would. Perhaps that one day it will take off.
So how's life in Australia?
Best wishes,
Wim Reimert
(still for physics)

Hey Brett!
Its Martyn here, just saw your post (first time checking the site!). I'm in Australia now. Would like to get back in touch man. Send me a PM on this site if you ever check in here or email me martyn.potATgmail.com.
Had a good time at ISG all those years ago, even though Mr Koopman described me as the 'blacksheep of the family' during graduation. Favourite teacher was Mrs. Robillard for English Lit. She was awesome!

Re: ISG GUESTBOOK
Hi Wim,
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, it would have been approximately 20 years ago when you taught me physics! Unfortunately I don't really remember any of the other teachers at that time.
I remember a few other students but have since lost contact with them. Krystal, Vicky, Martijn, Rudger and Heiko to name just a few.
Best Regards
Brett

Re: ISG GUESTBOOK
Hi Brett,
Sorry to have taken so long to reply. I can only hope that you have not forgotten about the alumni site so that you won't even see my response anymore. Anyway, I've checked my old records and thus can confirm that you indeed have been one of my former students. That was in my first year of teaching at the International School, more than 20 years ago. The teachers you mentioned (Andy Williams (chemistry), Wim Koopman (physics and headmaster) and Ruth Matoren (English indeed)) have all left the school. Of the teachers present now you may still know Dick Rietveld (Dutch) and Lorraine Evans (was secretary but now teaches English).
So what did you do after starting (and hopefully completing) your A-levels in UK?
Best wishes,
Wim Reimert

Re: ISG GUESTBOOK
Hi Wim,
Nice to hear from you, I believe that you may have indeed taught me physics (so long ago though that I may be incorrect)! I thought I recognised your name on another previous post.
I completed my IGCSEs in the summer of 1990. I then went on to start the IB course however I returned to the UK later in 1991 to start A levels.
Some of the other teacher's names I remember (or partially remember) are Andy? Williams, Wim Koopman, and Matoren. I think Matoren taught English Language.
Anyway hope to hear from you again.
Best Regards

more information please
Hi BrettC,
I'm writing this reply at school and so do not have all my records with me: but who is BrettC? I joined the ISG as a physics teacher in 1989 and so we should have met, I guess. But I can't remember .... So could you please provide some more information about yourself?
Best wishes, Wim Reimert

Hi Antoniekhor,
I was at the school during the late 80's early 90's. I can't believe it was that long ago!!
I remember the place fondly. Still a nice place to be?

Hi from an old student
Hi Everybody.
There appears to have been many changes with the school since I was a student there many many years ago.
Regards to all nonetheless.
